This photo is of some finds that I made with the Whites MXT at a site that
I had hunted in the past ,,
When the Whites MXT first came out I had to try one ,, Just like I try to
try out all of the new detector's ,, Anyway after receiving the MXT ,,
Where to take it for a trial run ,, After some thought ,, I decided to try
a Confederate Calvary Camp that I & several other's had hunted before ,,
Just to give the MXT a work out ,, When I arrived at the chosen location
,, Now where do I try this new MXT out at since it is a large track of
land ,, When the decision was made I turned on the MXT for the first time
at the location although I had turned it on & read the manual before I
arrived at this site ,, To my amazement shortly after turning on the
detector I got what was a good hit & after digging a very deep hole I got
a 45 Cal. Colt Bullet ,, Whoa I thought ,, Then I got another hit then
another ,, By the end of my hunt that lasted four hours that day I had 30+
bullet's + other Civil War Items ,The Items in the photo are all that
would fit on my scanner bed ,, I guess one thing that really impressed me
about the Whites MXT besides the great depth & great Sensitive is the fact
that if you operate the MXT in the relic mode you will get a High pitch in
tone for non-ferrous target's & a low pitch in tone for ferrous Target's
,, Which Does Help tell if you have a non-ferrous target in the hole with
a ferrous target ,, Since that day I have used the MXT a lot with great
success Also I have let some of my friends use the MXT & they like me were
very impressed

While I was detecting a old home site a guy stopped an wanted to talk ,,
Turns out I had sold him a Whites XLT detector about 4 years ago & he had
only used it a couple of times ,, He wanted to go detecting with me so we
set up a time to go which was Sunday morning at 8:30 to meet ,, He was
already at the meeting point when I arrived on Sunday an I said where are
we going & he said that there was a old home site in his front yard of the
new house that he had built ,, I said that sounded good to me & off we
went ,, About a mile away ,, When we arrived I set his XLT detector up for
him then I got out my Whites 6000 Pro XL tector ,, In about a minute I
got what sounded like a good hit so I called my hunting partner over to
see what it sounded like to him on his XLT ,, Then I dug the target ,, It
turned out to be a Jew's Harp ,, Just like the one's used in the Civil War
,, My partner was amased cause he had already hunted this site ,, It was
not but a minute later that I dug another one of those Jew's Harp's ,, So
I hollered to my hunting partner that I got another one ,, He just shook
his head ,, I could not believe getting two of them out of one yard ,,
Couple minutes later I got yet another one ,, Then another an another ,,
When we quite detecting for the day ,, I had eight of those jew's harp's
,, Never found that many of them at one old home site before ,, Don't know
why there were so many of them there ,, I would have stayed longer &
hunted but at quarter of twelve he said time to quit ,, Don't know if he
liked me finding eight of them to his "0" or not ,, Don't guess I'll ever
get to detect there anymore ,, Guess next time when I'm hunting with
someone else don't guess I tell what I'm finding ..
